Bottled on 2/20/2026 I was very excited to begin bottling this beer and
get my final gravity. Then, I placed the hydrometer in the test tube……
1.011. I was immediately disappointed. 3.8% is not bad. Great for a
session beer and bringing out the flavor. I wanted to get this brew
around 4.3-4.5%. I think I definitely could have soaked my grains longer
to help raise the amount of sugar. Once I started transferring the beer
though, I wasn’t as disappointed anymore because it smelled amazing. I
can’t wait to try it. I’ll let you know in about two weeks!
