I really enjoy Kolschs. This one…. not as much. The color was consistent with a Kolsch and the mouthfeel as well but I was getting too much of an herb in the finish that I didn’t think matched with the beer’s profile. The flavor had an almost bitter taste to it which confused me and made a stronger finish than I expected. The description says it is light, crisp, clean German-style Kolsch. I would have enjoyed a little more sweetness from the malt.
